One Indian seafarer has died and 13 others have been rescued after an unidentified aerial object hit the Indian-flagged vessel MSV Al Jusufi off the coast of Oman on 2 November. The incident took place near Limah, close to the Strait of Hormuz. The ship was carrying 14 Indian crew members. The Maritime Telegraph reported.

The Omani Coast Guard rescued 13 crew members after they left the vessel. One seafarer died from his injuries. India's authorities are working with Oman to help the survivors and arrange their return home. They are also making plans to bring the deceased seafarer’s body back to India.

The attack has raised further concerns about the safety of commercial shipping in the region. India's Ministry of External Affairs condemned the incident and called for an end to attacks on merchant ships and civilian infrastructure. It also urged all sides to reduce tensions and restore safe and unrestricted passage through international waters.
