Quality Policy
The main company’s objective is to perform a high-quality seafarer’s recruitment and placement service for all our clients and to be responsive to the individual and collective needs of.
All of our clients’ requirements and services delivered to them must be recognized as expressions of quality. We pledge to monitor our performance as an on-going activity and strive for continuous improvement.
Our Quality Policy means that we must at all times endeavor to fulfill the needs and meet the expectations of our clients, our suppliers and our employees and the public interests.
The main goals of the Company are as follows:
- to recruit the seafarers in compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 and MLC 2006 International Standards, requirements of STCW 78/95 with Manila Amendments 2010, IMO Resolution A.741(18) and relevant Administration requirements as well as with the demands of the Customer stipulated in Manning Agreement;
- to provide the seafarers with the job aboard the Customer’s vessels to the Customer and Seafarer entire satisfaction.
Our clients’ confidence must be gained by the services we offer:
- being delivered on time under the agreed commercial conditions;
- meeting the agreed and promised requirements.
The ways in which the Quality Policy of the Company is implemented include:
- our employees being offered for the necessary training and possessing sound skills in their areas of responsibility to ensure that they are capable to achieve quality of the work they perform;
- the organization, responsibility, authority and interfaces of the various functions being defined and documented;
- all activities related to our services as well as all other external and internal communication being characterized by quality;
- steps to remedy any existing defects and deficiencies being defined;
- adherence to a documented and efficient Quality System;
- audits of the Quality System and services;
- management’s reviews of the Quality System.
Alpha Navigation Management and Staff are responsible for Quality Control through the Quality Management System seeking improvement by constant review, with suppliers and sub-contractors being encouraged to co-operate. The Company is committed to achieving customer satisfaction by the use of quality procedures which will be operated to meet or exceed the requirements of ISO standards.
Code of Conduct
Foreword
Alpha Navigation has been providing crew management and crew recruitment services and supplying vessels with competent and professional Ukrainian, Filipino, Vietnamese and other nationalities crew consistently throughout the years. We recognize the importance of providing qualified crew on both sides - at sea and onshore.
We maintain our high standard of excellency. Our client's satisfaction and success is of the utmost importance to us.
This Code of Conduct is one of the ways we put our efforts into practice. It’s built around the recognition that everything we do related our work at Alpha Navigation will be measured against the highest possible standards of ethical conduct. Our commitment to the highest standards helps us employ great people, provide perfect service, and attract best customers. Trust and mutual respect among employees and customers are the foundation of our success, what we need to prove daily by our activity.
Please do read this Code and follow both, its spirit and letter, always bearing in mind that each of us has a personal responsibility to incorporate, and to encourage others at Alpha Navigation and to incorporate the principles of this Code into our work.
Who Must Follow Our Code?
We expect, all our employees to know and follow the Code. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Moreover, while the Code is specifically written for Alpha Navigation employees, we expect Alpha Navigation contractors, vendors, consultants, and others who may be temporarily assigned to perform work or services for the Company to follow the Code in connection with their work for us. Failure of it can result in termination of their relationship with Alpha Navigation.
Code-Related Question or Concern
If you have a question or concern, please do not hesitate to act. You can contact our management and submit a question, or raise a concern of a suspected violation of our Code or any other Alpha Navigation policy.
No Reprisal
If you have a question or ever think that one of your fellow at Alpha Navigation, management or the company as a whole may be falling short of our commitment, don’t be silent. We want – and need – to hear from you.
Alpha Navigation disallow any reprisal against any employee at the Company who reports or participates in an investigation of a possible violation of this Code or Alpha Navigation policies. If you believe you are being reprisaled against, please contact management. An appropriate Whistleblowing Policy is implemented at Alpha Navigation.
Faultlessly Serve Our Customers
Our customers are value the Alpha Navigation not only because we deliver great crew and services, but because we hold ourselves to a higher standard in how we treat customers and operate generally. The following principles will help us to maintain that high standard:
- integrity
Company reputation is that our customers can trust us. And this is our most valuable asset. We must be sure that continually earn that trust. All our activity, communications and other interactions with customers should do increasing their trust in us.
- privacy, security, and freedom of expression
Always remember that we are asking our customers to trust us with their personal information. Preserving that trust requires that, each of us respect and protect the privacy and security of that information. Our related procedures strictly limit access to and use of customers’ personal information, and require that each of us take measures to protect customer data from unauthorized access.
Know your responsibilities under these procedures, and collect, use, and access customer personal information only as authorized by our Privacy Policy, and applicable data protection laws.
Alpha Navigation also is committed to advancing privacy and freedom of expression for our customers around the world. Where customer privacy and freedom of expression face some challenges, we seek to implement internationally recognized standards that respect those rights.

Being useful and honest means being responsive. We recognize every customer request and/or feedback when we see it, and we deal always with it promptly. We are pride to respond and provide support communicating with our customers, whether as business correspondence, or questions, problems, or compliments.

Any time you feel our customers aren’t being well-served, do not hesitate - let the management of Alpha Navigation know about it. Continually improving our products and services is our mutual goal and we’re proud that Alpha Navigation defends her customers and take the initiative to step forward when the interests of our customers are at stake.

We are committed to a supportive work environment, where employees have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. Alpha Navigation are expected to do their utmost to create a workplace culture that is free of harassment, intimidation, prejudgment and unlawful discrimination.

- harassment, discrimination, and bullying
Alpha Navigation prohibits discrimination, harassment and bullying in any form – verbal, physical, or visual, as discussed more fully in our appropriate Prevention of Exploitation, Harassment and Discrimination Policy. If you believe you’ve been bullied or harassed by anyone at Alpha Navigation, or by Alpha Navigation customer, partner or vendor, we strongly encourage you to immediately report the incident to the Company management.
- drugs and alcohol
Our position on D&A abuse is simple: It is incompatible with the health and safety of our employees, and we don’t permit it. Consumption of alcohol is not banned at our offices, but use good judgment and never drink in a way that leads to impaired performance or inappropriate behavior, endangers the safety of others, or violates the law. Illegal drugs in our offices or at any events are strictly prohibited. If a manager has reasonable suspicion to believe that an employee’s use of drugs and/or alcohol may adversely affect the employee’s job performance or the safety of the employee or others in the workplace, the manager may request an alcohol and/or drug screening. A reasonable suspicion may be based on objective symptoms such as the employee’s appearance, behavior, or speech.
- safe workplace
We are committed to a violence-free work environment, and we will not tolerate any level of violence or the threat of violence in the workplace. Under no circumstances should anyone bring a weapon to work. If you become aware of a violation of this, you should report it to Alpha Navigation management.
- conflicts of interest avoidance
When you are in a situation of competitive opportunities which could cause you to pursue a personal benefit for you, your friends, or your family at the expense of Alpha Navigation or our customers, you may be faced with a conflict of interest. All of us should avoid conflicts of interest and circumstances that could lead to the appearance of a conflict. When considering a course of action, ask yourself whether the action you’re considering could create a motivation for you, or appear to others such as a creation of motivation for you, to benefit yourself, your friends or family, or an associated business at the expense of Alpha Navigation. So, If the answer is positive, the action you’re considering is likely to create a conflict of interest situation, and you should avoid it.
Herein are shown some areas where conflicts of interest often arise:
- an outside employment, consulting practice, starting your own business; business opportunities found through work;
- inventions;
- friends and relatives;
- co-worker relationships;
- accepting gifts, entertainment, and other business courtesies;
- unauthorized use Alpha Navigation products and services.
In each of these situations, the rule is the same – if you are considering entering into a business situation that creates a conflict of interest, don’t. If you are in a business situation that may create a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest, review the situation with Alpha Navigation management as from the side of ethic & compliance relationship. Finally, it’s important to understand that as circumstances change, a situation that previously didn’t present a conflict of interest may present one. An appropriate Bribery and Corruption Prevention Policy is implemented at Alpha Navigation.
Confidentiality Preservation
We can get some of press attention around our services and activities, and that’s usually fine. However, certain kinds of company information, if leaked into the press or to competitors in wrong time, can hurt Alpha Navigation, eliminate our competitive advantage and prove costly in other ways. Our responsibilities are above of prevention revealing confidential information and data of the Company, we must also:
properly secure, and dispose when appropriate the Alpha Navigation confidential information;
safeguard confidential information that Alpha Navigation receives from others under non- disclosure agreements;
take steps to keep our trade secrets and other confidential intellectual property secret.
- customers and partners
Just as you are careful not to disclose confidential Alpha Navigation information, it’s equally important not to disclose any confidential information from our customers and partners. Don’t accept confidential information from other companies without first having all parties sign an appropriate non-disclosure agreement approved by appropriate authority, when necessary. Even after the agreement is signed, try only to accept as much information as you need to accomplish your business objectives.
- competitors and former employees
We respect our competitors and want to compete with them fairly. But we don’t want their confidential information. The same goes for confidential information belonging to any Alpha Navigation’s former employees or former customers. If an opportunity arises to take advantage of a competitor’s or former employee’s confidential information, don’t do it. Should you happen to come into possession of a competitor’s confidential information, contact appropriate authority immediately.
- outside communications
As we already told, Alpha Navigation is very concerned and should be extremely careful about disclosing any confidential information. Consistent with that, you should also ensure your outside communications (including online and social media posts) do not disclose confidential proprietary information or represent (or otherwise give the impression) that you are speaking on behalf of Alpha Navigation unless you’re authorized to do so by the Company. The same applies to communications with the press. Finally, check with the management before accepting any public speaking engagement on behalf of the Company. In general, before making any external communication or disclosure, you should consult our Social Media Policy and our Publishing Personal & Private Information Policy.
Protect Company Assets
Alpha Navigation has a well-earned reputation. Our ability to keep such reputation depends on how well we conserve resources, and protect assets and information of the Company.
- intellectual property
Alpha Navigation’s intellectual property rights (our trademark, logo, copyrights) are among our most valuable assets. Unauthorized use can lead to their loss or serious loss of value. You must respect all copyright and other intellectual property laws, including laws governing the fair use of copyrights, trademarks, and brands. You must never use Alpha Navigation’s logos, marks, or other protected information or property for any business or commercial venture without pre-clearance from the management. We strongly encourage you to report any suspected misuse of trademarks, logos, or other Alpha intellectual property to the management.
Same, respect the intellectual property rights of others. Inappropriate use of others’ intellectual property may expose Alpha Navigation and you to criminal and civil fines and penalties. Please seek advice from the Company management before you ask, accept, or use proprietary information from individuals outside the Company or let them use or have access to Alpha Navigation proprietary information.
- company equipment
Alpha Navigation gives us the tools and equipment we need to do our jobs effectively, but counts on us to be responsible and not wasteful with the stuff we are given. Nobody’s going to complain if you use an extra napkin out of lunch time, but company funds, equipment, and other physical assets are not to be requisitioned for purely personal use. If you not sure about certain use of company assets, please do not hesitate to ask your management.
- the network
Communication facilities of Alpha Navigation (which include both our network and the hardware that uses it, like computers and mobile devices) are a critical aspect of our Company’s property, both physical and intellectual. Be sure to follow security. If you have any reason to believe that our network security has been violated, please promptly report about it to IT department. For more information, please review Corporate Internet and Computers Policy.
- physical security
If you’re not careful, people will steal your stuff. Always keep safe your personal belongings, even while in Alpha Navigation premises. Watch people who coming through the doors. Do not leave unidentified persons unattended. Use the Company security measures for office access.
Conclusion
Alpha Navigation always seek to be an individual company. It’s too difficult to state out every possible scenario we might face. Instead, we rely on one another’s good judgment to uphold a high standard of integrity for ourselves and our Company. We expect that all our employees to be guided by both the letter and the spirit of this Code. Sometimes, identifying the right thing to do isn’t an easy task. If you aren’t sure, don’t hesitate ask questions Alpha Navigation management.
