Great meeting with Portline: highlights from the Portline Seminar 2026
Alpha Navigation is pleased to take part in the Portline Seminar 2026, organized by Portline Bulk International and bringing together maritime professionals, vessel officers, and shore-based teams. The event focused on key topics such as safety, operations, regulations, and future industry developments.
We are proud that Bogdan Zelenski, President of Alpha Navigation, joined the seminar as a speaker with his presentation “Ship and shore personnel – different location, one team,” highlighting the importance of strong cooperation and shared responsibility between onboard and shore teams.
During the seminar, a special moment was dedicated to the crew of the bulk carrier PORT FUKUOKA in recognition of their outstanding professionalism and seamanship during a large-scale rescue operation in the Mediterranean Sea. Unfortunately, most of the crew members were unable to attend the event, but we would still like to acknowledge their important contribution and dedication.
Our sincere gratitude and appreciation go to Master Sergiy Bogdanov, Chief Officer Oleksandr Borysov, Second Officer Yehor Haraiutin, Third Officer Ihor Makovetskyi, Deck Trainee Oleksii Filiniuk, Chief Engineer Artur Lepko, Second Engineer Serhiy Mylokostyi, Third Engineer Andriy Melnychok, Electro-Technical Officer Valentyn Ursul, Electrical Engineer Volodymyr Afanasiev, Bosun Sergiy Kamka, Able Seamen Dmytro Artemiev, Rodion Dumbrava (now serving as Third Officer) and Igor Maryeyev, Ordinary Seamen Yevhen Verhules and Danylo Hirskyi, Oiler Oleksandr Tsymbaliuk, Fitter Ievgenii Harytonov, Cook Volodymyr Albert, and Steward Stanislav Butin.
Their courage, commitment, and teamwork are a real source of pride for the entire Alpha Navigation family.
The second day of the seminar included more sessions and a Sports Challenge for seafarers. It was a great opportunity to strengthen team spirit beyond the conference room. Both Portline and Alpha Navigation actively encourage sports activities among seafarers and always welcome opportunities like this to bring crews together through friendly competition and shared energy.
Events like this are always a great chance to reconnect with colleagues, share practical experience, and strengthen our long-standing cooperation with Portline. Most importantly, they create space for open dialogue and support the professional growth of our seafarers and shore-based teams.
