Cadet Training in Focus at Odesa National Maritime Academy Meeting

Alpha Navigation Odesa National Maritime Academy

On April 10, the National Maritime Academy hosted a strategic meeting between the Academy’s leadership and representatives of leading crewing agencies and maritime organizations. At the heart of the agenda was a matter of critical importance: ensuring high-quality at-sea training and working for the next generation of cadets.

Rector Mykhailo Miiusov highlighted the companies making significant contributions to this effort, naming those that have taken the lead in providing cadets with placements aboard foreign-flag vessels. Among the top three was Alpha Navigation, recognized for its longstanding commitment to cadet development.

Since its founding, Alpha Navigation has operated a robust cadet program, offering deck, engine, and electro-technical cadets valuable experience aboard vessels operated by some of the world’s foremost shipping companies.

With upcoming certification exams on the horizon, the Maritime Academy is urging cadets currently abroad to return to Odesa to complete their assessments, obtain their seafarer's licenses, and, where applicable, continue their studies at the master’s degree. Academy officials have assured students that there are no barriers to their mobility: cadets will not be subject to mobilization and will be permitted to depart the country for their next work contracts.

Alpha Navigation looks forward to welcoming a new generation of maritime professionals into its program. To all cadets preparing to set sail – fair winds and following seas!
